Position Overview
As a member of Keystone’s Core Team, the School Social Worker integrates consultation, coaching, and collaborative services within educational systems. This role supports students with social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive needs through assessment, intervention, and coordination of services. School Social Workers serve as a vital link among home, school, and community, using evidence-based practices to foster positive learning environments and improve outcomes for children and youth (B–21).
Qualifications
- Education
- Master’s degree in Social Work or School Social Work from an accredited program.
- Iowa BoEE Licensure:
- Iowa Bureau of Educational Examiners B–21 School Social Worker Endorsement (Initial or Full Professional Service License), OR
- Iowa Department of Public Health license as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and an Iowa BoEE Statement of Professional Recognition.
- Ability to travel to multiple sites within the AEA service area.
