Media materials are selected and maintained by highly qualified personnel of Keystone Area Education Agency with the intention to implement, enrich, and support the educational program for the learner. Materials must serve both the breadth of the curriculum and the needs and interests of individual learners. The Agency is obligated to offer media resources for a wide range of abilities, interests and to respect many differing points of view. To this end, principles must be placed above personal opinion and reason above prejudice in the selection of materials of the highest quality and appropriateness to best meet educational needs.
These standards provide guidelines for material selection for both Keystone Area Education Agency’s media collection of resources as well as our digital resource suite.
