Iowa’s Area Education Agencies were created by the 1974 Iowa Legislature to ensure all children have equal educational opportunities. Keystone Area Education Agency is one of nine AEAs in the state, and serves as an intermediate agency providing educational services to local schools. Keystone AEA staff are committed to unlocking the potential of each and every learner.
Keystone Area Education Agency services support public and accredited non-public schools in eight counties in northeast Iowa. This area includes: Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek counties.
