Take time to understand how the Iowa Core or national content standards are organized
and what students are expected to know and be able to do at the particular grade level(s).
Identify priority learning goals within the curriculum.
Identify the standards that will be on the report card.
Create a proficiency scale or rubric for each learning goal.
