Books (B)

A curated collection of high quality, PK-12 age-appropriate books in a variety of genres: fiction, nonfiction, reference, poetry, short stories, biographies, graphic novels, fairy tales, folk tales, and more for classroom use.

Patron Loan Period: 42 days.

Kits – Small Media (KM) (GM) (MOD)

A curated assortment of high-quality instructional resources ready for classroom use for all grades and interest levels.  Examples of kits include: big books, robots, puzzles, classroom content games, curriculum preview kits, classroom book sets, novel studies, Playaways, Wonderbooks, decodable book sets, science models, and CTE simulators (Real Care Babies, Welding, Electrical), and more.

Patron Loan Period: 10 days.

DVDs (DVD)

Digital Video Disc, high-resolution audiovisual material circulated for classroom. Our curated collection offers a variety of PK-12 topics from high quality educational media producers like: Learning Seed, Film Platform, Human Relations Media, Dreamscape, Westin Woods, PBS, Discovery Education, Twentith Century Fox, Disney, Nova and more…

Patron Loan Period: 10 days.

OT | PT Equipment (OTPT)

Specialized tools and devices designed to assist in the rehabilitation and improvement of motor skills, coordination, and overall physical function. This includes adaptive aids, mobility devices, exercise equipment, sensory tools, therapeutic games, and more, tailored to support the needs of individuals undergoing occupational or physical therapy. These items are on loan to schools through special check out and consultation of Keystone AEA Occupational and Physical Therapists.

Patron Loan Period: 28 days.

Professional Books (P)

A curated collection for PK-12+ educators, featuring reference books, content-specific resources, pedagogy, leadership, school improvement, educational trends, research, and more.

Patron Loan Period: 10 days.

Rotating Reads | Book of the Month Program (BOTM)

Keystone AEA Book of the Month Program delivers a curated selection of 25 fiction and non-fiction books for PK-12 grade levels through the Keystone AEA media van delivery system. Teachers who enroll in the program receive a new box of books every six weeks. When patrons return the previous box of books, a new one is sent, ensuring consistent exposure to high quality, age appropriate reading material for classroom use.

Special Education Long Term Kits (LT)

A comprehensive set of tools and procedures used by our special education staff to evaluate and support students with special needs. These assessments to include protocols help identify individual strengths and challenges, which guides the development of personalized education plans. They include diagnostic tests, observational checklists, standardized assessments, and progress monitoring tools, all aimed at providing the most effective and appropriate educational support.


The management and checkouts of our Special Education Long Term Kits are arranged through special checkout with Keystone AEA office assistants in each field office.

Specialty Equipment

Large Equipment:

Circulation is available to districts and school systems that have either a Premium Media Subscription or a Standard Subscription with a la carte pricing.

Keystone AEA Media Staff manage, maintain, and deliver oversized instructional media resources to support classroom learning.  To check out these specialty items, area educators must complete required training, register as an approved patron, work collaboratively with our staff to schedule delivery in advance through a designated special van route.

Examples of specialty equipment items include: Class set of Ukuleles, Class set of Guitars, Set of Drums, HEART Challenge Course, Professional Video Equipment and Digital Planetariums (Portable).

Please note: Keystone AEA assumes all responsibility of the pick up and delivery of these specialty items. Summer checkout of these items is not available unless a request for support  has been submitted by the District or School System and it has been approved.
