This hybrid course will provide training on the web IEP for new special education teachers through virtual means, encompassing a blend of online learning and training via Zoom. Therefore, the two required components of IEP training for NEW special education teachers include:
Online training: The online course titled “Statewide IEP Training for AEA/LEA Staff ” is available via the AEA Learning System. ALL new Keystone AEA/LEA staff must complete the “Statewide IEP Training for AEA/LEA Staff” prior to attending guided virtual learning component described below.
Guided Virtual Learning: This component will be offered twice, via Zoom, with the same content shared during each session (Choose One). This component of the training will focus on additional information related to IEPs and provide participants with hands-on application of the content. This will also allow new teachers to connect with their Keystone Core Team rep or ECSE Consultant.
Click on the Register button for your Section and follow the prompts through the registration process. Teachers only need to register for ONE Zoom Option/Section.
All participants should plan to complete BOTH the online training and attend one Guided Virtual Learning Session. Please be sure to share this information with your new special education teacher(s) so we can plan appropriately. A zoom link will be sent to participants a day prior.
